We have started the Atlanta Food Bloggers' Alliance to have a supportive group in the Food Blog Community.  We meet once a month for an event around Atlanta.  You don't have to have a blog in order to join and participate.  Just have a passion for food, and for getting out and trying all the new, different and exciting cuisines our area has to offer.
